CdTe-based solar cells

Cadmiumtelluride (CdTe) is a widely used absorber material for thin-film solar cells. Production of CdTe-based solar cells involves the application of a variety of thin layers on a transparent substrate (usually glass with special diffusion-blocking layers) such as transparent conductive oxides (TCOs), CdTe, and CdS. These layers are applied by sputter deposition and high-temperature sublimation processes.###NOHIDE###

For CdTe applications, LayTec‘s Flames metrology system can be seamlessly integrated into production lines and automatically measures film thickness, composition, and conductivity on all layers on a 24/7 basis.
